Aims and Scope
Indonesian Journal of Education and Community Engagement is a professional publication of original peer-reviewed articles that reflect exemplary practices of community service in the field of educational science both in the Indonesia and around the world. Articles cover the early childhood education, primary education, and nonformal education, analyzing issues, trends, and practices from an educational perspective. The journal publishes feature-length articles that skillfully blend 1) research, and practice, 2) descriptions of outstanding community engagement programs worldwide, and 3) participatory action research, service learning, community based research, and asset based community development. Indonesian Journal of Education and Community Engagement is of interest not only to classroom teachers, child care providers, college and university faculty, and administrators, but also to other professionals in psychology, health care, family relations, and social services dedicated to the pedagogy and school of children. Finally, the journal is rigorous. The focus is on high-quality research and community service aimed at expanding our understanding of education and community engagement by providing an outlet for new research and new community service, discussions of the theoritical bases of pedagogical science and critical reviews of the emerging knowledge base. Publised annualy by Educational Science Department, Faculty of Education, University of Jember, the journal welcomes submissions from all researchers and scholars interested in the field.
